Cafe & Dining Nurikabe
A moment to unwind in the city.
Located on the 4th floor of an Ebisu building, Cafe & Dining Nurikabe serves white truffle-scented omurice, cheesecakes torched tableside, varied pastas, and dinner course menus.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Head up to the 4th floor of a multi-tenant building in Ebisu Minami and you will find Cafe & Dining Nurikabe, a cafe-dining spot that draws patrons for its inventive Western-style dishes and signature desserts. The dining room, laid out primarily with table seating, provides a relaxed environment suited to lingering over a meal or tea.
The undisputed star of the savory menu is the truffle-scented "white" omurice. Prepared with komekko eggs—distinguished by yolks so pale the cooked egg remains pure white—this distinctive plate is infused with truffle fragrance and finished with an original sauce accented by the brisk tang of sour cream. The kitchen brings similar ingenuity to other Western staples, including a "reverse al dente" Napolitan that chars intentionally soft, thick linguine under a torch, and thick-cut pork ginger made with Iwate Prefecture's Iwanaka pork.
For tea breaks and post-meal sweets, the torched aromatic cheesecake commands a dedicated following. Brought to the table before being seared with a culinary torch, it offers the visual and sensory appeal of coarse sugar caramelizing right in front of you as sweet aromas drift into the air. Crafted in two distinct tiers—a meltingly rich baked base beneath an airy rare cheesecake layer—it is served in an original flavor brightened with vanilla and lemon, alongside options like a matcha variation layered with sweetened azuki beans and served with matcha salt.
When dinner service gets underway, the kitchen rolls out an extensive spread of hot and cold appetizers paired to wine, cocktails, and beer. Guests can share dishes such as ajillo, fries, and red-wine-braised Wagyu cheek over drinks, or mark a special occasion with an anniversary course featuring a personalized dessert message plate.
